My car starts fine runs good it just doesn't have consestent HP , if I turn on the key hold the gas pedal down for about 30 seconds then let off of it & start the car it is a runs night & day difference in the way it runs if you just get in & start it . When I first bought the car it didn't matter how you started it it , it had so much power it would break the tires loose 1,2&3 under full throttle. I've changed the fuel filter throttle position sencer throttle motor air filter ECT. There are no codes . Any body have an idea what the problem might be ?
Thanks
The only thing that pops into my thoughts would be the fuel pump itself. When you start it via the holding down the gas pedal method, it runs fine? And when you start it normally, how does it perform and what is the difference? Does it idle smoothly in both cases? Holding down the gas pedal doesn't do anything that I know of although I've never been able to look at the throttle body at the same time. I think if I was in your position, I would be taking it to a specialty Corvette shop or a dealer with a mechanic that knows Corvettes. You might want to post the question at corvettemechanic.com too.
