anyways i have had a pretty bad chipping noise going on since my h/c install....had no clue what it was ...change both idler pullies check all other stuff ac/ps/alt/water pump all are ok...today for some crazy reason i pull off my oil filler cap while the car was running.....the noise totally stops.....whats up with that????.my question is is it normal for there to be so much vacum in the valve cover where i can almost not be able to pull the regular cap out???and is running a breather ok...wont the car pull in unmetered air??and what could the noise be...

I think it's your main seals. That's why there is a breather line on the valve cover to allow air in. If you wan't vacuum in the crankcase (which isn't a bad thing) get a vacuum relief valve.
