Huh? The sewing machine noise in inherent to the car... you can quiet it down w/ full roller rockers and using a pushrod checker to get the correct ones to set pre-load.
That's the price of a bigger cam. After a few weeks of driving you don't even notice it anymore and you'll just love the extra power. I think we all hate that noise after a head/cam job and question ourselves, but it's all worth it!!

Not necessarily true, im running the MS3 with LS7 lifters, stock rockers and 7.40 hardened pushrods and i have 0 sewing machine noise, if they are properly torqued to GM's sequence i have never had any noise problems.
I run the Cadillac Racing lifters with .110 wall Trend pushrods, Comp 921 springs and a 234-240 112 XE-R cam and I have no valve train noise at all.
My $.02
How can I find the thickness of Comp 7.425 push rods? I have beehive springs and cadillac racing lifters..where can Trend .110 push rods and what lenght can be gotten at?

That's my engine in the LINK..I have the caddy race lifter, 7.425 comp pushrods and Harland roller rockers torqued to 22 ftlbs as recommended by GM.

fyi: LS7 lifters are the same as LS2, they are also the new replacements when ordering LS1/6 lifters
Do you believe the Trend pushrods would be better in holding down the sewing machine sound then the Comp pushrods?
Also have you been successful in stopping the sewing machine noise after a cam change? If so how?

Longer pushrods - use 7.425 instead of stock 7.400
