Default Code Questions

I just got done checking my dic codes. Its a 97. No currents just a couple of historys. But there are two that I dont understand. 38 rtd no comm. and a6 scm no comm. The reason I dont understand them is because I dont have real time dampning, just the standerd package. And my electric seats are working fine. Can anybody clue me in to what is going on.... Thanks

Rick

There could be a number of reasons for the seat control module to have NO Comms. Check the seat connector and make sure that it is clean, tight and in good condition.

Do you have the memory package?? If you do, does it worl?

As for the RTD, are you the origional owner of the car? It could have had RTD in the past or someone switched out the BCM with a used one that had it.

Hey Bill, No I do not have the memory package. Driver and passenger elec. seats. I am not the original owner, the car does have traction control and thats it. It may have had it in the past. According to my carfax report the suspension was serviced back in 2002 at 59,000 miles. But it dosnt have the selective switch in the center console. I will go out and check the plugs on the seats but like I said in my first post the seats work perfect............ I also checked the under hood fuse box and there is no fuse there for RTd. Thanks Rick
