Eeek, all very scary to me. I'm crossing my fingers - Thanks to everyone for their advice.
Btw, I bought a Craftsman TQ wrench. Someone said it's not liftetime warranty ? I thought all Craftsman stuff were backed for life.

I see you already got a new torque wrench, but here's a good brand:

They make the Snap-on torque wrenches. I bought one of their's a few years ago on the web and it was cheaper then the snap on version but the only difference is the logo. Now their website says they are a snap-on company, so maybe the discount isn't as much.

I have a couple of their torque wrenchs. IIRC, they do not carry a LT warranty. Maybe 90 days or 1yr? Don't recall. Check your paperwork.
