PVC parts? Need help please!
Hi,
I'm swapping to a used 2002 LS6 engine (with intake), and its going slowly but still going. I think the last of the parts I need are the new PVC system. I have all the parts from my 2000 LS1, but no parts for the new system.
To make things a little harder I'm re-using my LS1 valve covers, not sure if that makes a difference.
Does anyone have a parts diagram of the PVC system? I'd like to probably go with the newer system, i.e. 04.
Not sure what I need at this point, do I just need to route the valley outlet to the old PVC tubing? A diagram would do me a lot of good right now (with part numbers).

Go to LS1HowTo.com. Look for the LS1 to LS6 conversion project. It will detail all you need to know with part numbers and diagrams. Essentially you'll need to plug the driver's side valve cover at the rear and put a little vacuum plug on the rear facing hose barb in your passengers cover. Then remove all the PCV tubing from around the manifold, cut a small piece off right in front of the pcv housing and plug that and the pcv valve and body between the manifold pcv port and the valley cover port.
Here's the link: LS1 to LS6 pcv conversion. Obviously you won't need the valley cover, and you won't need to machine the boss off inside the valley. I got my parts from Fitchner Chevrolet.
