Default Front lowered/rubber deflector replacement?

Anyone know if the OEM deflector(front vallance) under the nose can be replaced with a smaller aftermarket strip that will not scrap as much over bumps, etc. I lowered the front on the stock bolts to cover the "4 X 4" look I got when I installed my 18X19 wheels. If not, anyone just remove the strip permaneantly? I cringe everytime I hear.....!
Thanks.

They're easily replaceable and relatively inexpensive. I've never seen one that is shorter. Many just trim off 1/2" or so.
Most agree ( ) that removing it entirely will have a detrimental affect on cooling.

Mine scrapes all the time, I am lowered about 1-3/4". The deflector is flexible and made to take scrapes.

I know it, but after receiving so many catalogs from aftermarket vendors for so many years you would think one of them would come up with a solution for this problem by now. Did I miss something in the catalogs?

Thanks anyways guys, it is only a min. amt. of $$ to replace the OEM part but it does not fix the reoccuring issue.

That thing is a mere $50 expense, I actually enjoy scraping mine and watching people cringing at the sound of it. Especially since my front license plate is lower than the deflector.

Now that you mention it, it is funny watching people's reactions when they hear my front spoiler scrape the ground. They must think I just incurred some serious damage to my car.

There are a lot of brand cars that use deflectors these days.I believe that a fellow corvette driver had a deflector from a FIAT(that's the car that is asssociated with Ferrari...... )and was almost a direct fit and smaller than the original. There a a lot of cars(VW,Ford,Fiat,BMW,Mercedes etc etc)that have deflectors that aren't too big.Just ask around and do a search...I'll bet you will find someting.
