For street use I totally agree. In fact, for street use I wouldn't do anything. If you were seeing 230 coolant temps at highway speeds then there was something wrong that you fixed while doing your mods.
Now, for autocross or tracking your car, an engine oil cooler is almost a necessity unless you watch your oil temps and back off when they get too hot. With an external oil cooler I can run a full 20 minute session.
