Smog Pump Removal
I am installing an A&A supercharger. I am planning on deleting the smog pump. Has any one done this and what to look for in doing so.
I am running HP tuner so as to allow disabling the feature. Can anyone shed light on what to look for? Also no smog inspection where I live as well

If you are talking about the airpump that pumps air into the exhaust on warm up I can help. I took mine off because the headers I out on do not have the hook ups. I am tuned with HP tuners and yes you can delete it. The worst part was removing the air tube that runs behind the intake. I had to remove the intake to disconnect the mount behind the intake. You will also have to plug the hole in the air filter assembly, I used the plastic cap from a white board cleaner bottle. If you are not changing the headers you will have to block off the airtube hook ups on the headers.

i'm going to be removing my smog pump when i do my intake mani swap, whats a good way do block off the fittings on the headers? Anyone have any tips on a DIY block-off plate?
