I am new here... Owned corvettes 30 years ago, then marriage, then kids, now another vette!
I have replaced the battery (2450) in my key fob (99 C5), stood at the rear of the car, held down the lock and unlock buttons until the horn honked (twice). Everything: lock, unlock, hatch all worked for a couple of minutes then the fob ceased to function. Do the fobs just plain die? OR is there another fix?

Mine had the same problem a while back. I finally rematched it to the Vette, then resynchronized. 2-step process. Has worked fine since then. The instructions are in the Owner's Manual.
Good luck.
