I just replaced my PS pump with a remanufactured pump from Napa Autoparts and it appears to be leaking slightly; just enough to get all over my belts and pulleys on the driver's side. Anybody else had issues like this with remanufactured PS pumps? The reservoir and all hoses are new also.
John
In the distant past I have had similar problems with "remanufactured" parts. Not on a 'vette, but I had other GM's and ever since I had a "remanufactured" water pump fail early, I just don't want to ever take a chance again. Install brand new out of the box.
my reman was fine. Where is it leaking from get in there maybe with a little dental mirror and flashlight to see. may be just that the clamps arent on right they are a PITA to get at.

Yeah, I've been all over the place with my little mirror and light. It seems to be dripping from under the PS pump. It's getting oil all over the PS box, leaf spring, PS pulley, belt and frame next to alternator. It appears to be clean on the passenger side, clean around and behind the damper pulley, the water pump is new and electric. Trying to diagnose and locate the source. This has been a nightmare for months.
Thanks to anyone who can assist.
