Brake and steering issue...

There are not any year specific or common failure parts. Start by having some one turn the key to ON to unlock the steering wheel (engine OFF) and have them lightly rock the steering wheel left to right (just enough to cause the front tires to just bareley move) While they continue to move the steering wheel, look at all the movable wheel and steering points and check for LOST MOTION. There should not be any! Check the steering shaft where it connects to the steering rack (under the hood) make sure that joint is tight and secure. Then jack up one wheel and check the wheel bearings. Hold the wheel at the top and bottom and apply an inward and outward force. There should NOT be any movement.
Check the rear wheels for any worn or loose parts. Also check those wheel bearings for looseness.
