Anyone using a bronze pilot ???
Is anyone using a bronze pilot instead of the stock needle bearing pilot bearing? If so where did you buy yours.
I had some issues with the stock needle bearing pilot and I had some high performance engine builders telling me to switch over to a bronze pilot bearing and I wouldn't have the problems I'm having now. They have been used for years in high performance vehicles and I don't see why it wouldn't be better.

I've used both, preferring the needle nose bearing for most hotrod applications. SUMMIT RACING or JEG'S has them. NAPA should also have them.
The bronze bearing is more forgiving with an input shaft that is not completely squared up (ie, run out), but it'll cause wear/problems once it's oblonged.
