Have a 2003 C5 Vert 6spd with 2900 total miles. Had a oil leak on the left side of the differential. Seal was replaced by dealer but 600 miles later the leak returned. Dealer again replaced the left seal on the differential and time will tell if it is fixed. Dealer said he is replacing a lot of these differential seals but only on the left side. Has anyone experienced this same problem and did you finally get it fixed? I am beginning to think that my dealer is missing something. Also interested to see if anyone has a TSB # for these differential leaks and the possible over-filling of the differential reservoir. Thanks in advance for any possible help

I had this done (one time) several years ago and no more leaks. Don't let anyone just replace the seal and o-ring and let it go. The use of the anaerobic sealant listed is critical and must be applied properly, including cleaning of the mating surfaces with alcohol to ensure they are clean.
a 2003 with only 2900 miles or any low mileage or non-driven car will have its diff seals dry out. This is very common.
Driving the car puts heat into the diff and trans, expands seals and keeps them tight.
and when looking at low mileage cars to purchase check the floor where the car was stored and get under the car and run your fingers along the diff to check for drops and leaks.
It is a known issue. I have 22k on my 04 and had the cover and seal replaced twice. It was just replaced 2 weeks ago, so I hope they fixed it this time. The factory warranty just ended but the repair is warranted for a year.
