Default tool question?

I'm bringing my 2001 Vette to work this weekend so I can use the pit to change all the fluids out to Amsoil. Motor, Trans(6spd), Rear diff. What tools do I need to bring with me. BTW I have only had the car for 2 Months. Thanks in advance.

One word of advice – Loosen the FILL plug first BEFORE draining the component. This will insure that you’re not in a situation where you have drained the fluid and can’t refill because the fill plug is stuck.

I don't recall the proper size allen head socket(s).

Richard,
Sorry, I don't remember the correct sizes for the tranny drain and fill plugs, or the diff drain plug and my vette isn't here or I'd run out and check for you. Recollection is that the diff drain and tranny fill and drain are all common english or metric and if you have a complete set of both english and metric sockets you should be fine on those.

The one that isn't common is the diff fill plug on the back of the diff which is a 10mm allen. I recommend you pick up a socket with a 10mm allen on it vice using an actual allen wrench as sometimes the fill plug can be tough to get off.

You'll also need some sort of pump to get the tranny and diff fluids up into the fill holes. Most autoparts stores sell something like this:
AMSOIL Hand Pump
