He is on the forum a lot and will give you a Geuwine GM part at the very best price. I am not positively certain about the web page so you can do a member search if you can't find him otherwise.
How important is the 160 deg thermostat? And what is the best one and where can I get one?
This is a hotly debated issue (pun unintentional. Use the search option to get opinions on both sides. If you decide to install a 160 stat, you'll need to reprogram your fan on/off temps to make a difference.
If you opt to go for one, either look in the "C5 parts" section of CF or look elsewhere on the net for a Hypertech 160 stat.
Do a search and read for a couple hours all the debates. But since you asked, I'll give you my opinion. It's a waste of time and money. It'll only really do much in the winter when you don't need it anyway, you're heater won't get as warm, and the car is designed to run in the 200 degree range. Depending on your model, you'll have issues with the water pump fitting and take a risk in creating new problems. If you're having problems with temps running high, clean out in front of and between the a/c condensor and radiator. Now I'm sure you'll get plenty of opposite advice from guys who have done it and want you to do it, too. You asked. (ps. I like BSM's too).
