Default Headlamp Motor Headache

Hey guys,

I rebuilt my headlight motors a couple of days ago with the bronze gears I ordered from Corvette Central. I followed the instructions exactly and replaced them in the fully raised position with the headlamp switch on. When I turned the switch off the headlamps stayed up and when I turned the headlamp switch ON again, they went down! They are exactly opposite of how they should be. When the switch is OFF the headlamps are up and when the switch is ON the headlamps are on but the assembly is down. I have tried manually cranking them down to the right position and when i play with the switch they " click " and eventually go back to the reverse position. Does anybody have any idea whats going on or has anybody even heard of this?! Thank you very much,
Chris

You may have put the lever that connects the motor shaft to the assembly in wrong or perhaps you plugged the connectors for the headlamp control module (passenger side on fender well below headlight assembly) in backwards - try swapping them.

Good luck !!

Yep. Sounds like you reversed the lever arms.
