I'm guessing P112 is P0112. If so,
P0112 Intake Air Temp (IAT) Sensor Circuit Low Voltage
As far as you doing it yourself. Depends on how comfortable you feel doing it. Lots of people on here to help.

Yours is a 99 so,,,,I believe that the IAT is located in the plastic air bridge that connects the MAF to the TB. I believe 2000 (maybe 2001) and up changed the loctaion of the IAT to inside the MAF housing. its easy to figure out. Look for a small black sensor sticking out the drivers side of the air bridge. If you cant find it, its inside the MAF..
The ones installed on the bridge get damage easily. check the cobbector, wires and sensor its self.
