Summer...about 28-29 psi..winter...maybe 30-31. 30 is normally accepted as good. However 30 taken on a cold winter morning is not the same as 30 taken on a hot summer afternoon. Personally, I like my tires to run about 31 psi when the tires are normal operating temp.
They should be kept at atmospheric pressure, over in the "used tire" section at Gus's Used Tire Store, and you should be asking this same question regarding a set of Michelin Pilot Sport ZP's (Zero Pressure) run flats! I was soooo happy to rid my ride of the Goodyears, heck I don't even have the ZP's on my C-5 and I still love them.
I made the big mistake of going to one of these local oil change places. I even brought my own 5-30 mobil 1. While doing the service on my vette, the guy was checking my tires. When I turned on the ignition to leave, my tire sensors went crazy. He had filled all my tires to 51 psi. I said what in the world are you doing, the door reads 30 psi and I run about 32 max. He said he read it off the tire. 51psi is the max. I'll never go to another "lube shop" again. Just think off all the poor customers that came in before me. There are alot of ignorant people passing themselves off as mechanics.
I have P ZERO 305/30/19" on the rears and believe it or not 26 psi cold has the best traction and keeps the wear across the tire EVEN! I run 28 psi cold in the fronts.
Ive tried all the different pressures and that works best for me.
