get my tires to spin (causing smoke) ? I have a 01 M6 stock. I just wanted to see if I can actually get her to put out smoke off the tires. I used to be able to do it in my Supra, but can't seem to spin the tires on my Vette. Thanks in advance.
WOT=Wide open throttle
Easiest way to get the rears to smoke:
1.turn off traction control
2.put in first gear
3.rev to 2500
4.dump clutch
5.floor it!

:rolleyes: It's times like this I'm glad I have an Auto :smash: :D
Turn off TC, WOT, check rear view for smoke, clean rubber from wheel well, repeat.

First thing to do is call Cartek and get a new clutch. The one you have is about as much use as a bacon sandwich at a synagogue.

22 lbs. rear tire pressure, crawl around on the ground adjusting the HAL shocks, oil the rear tires so they spin better? How? :D
dsk888, thanks.
Here's what I do:
30/30 front and rear.+/- 2,500 rpm, ease the clutch (no pop) sort of between bog and trying to get a "controllable" spin. Obviously it works really well in the wet and on bad traction surfaces (like gritty parking lots). But, with a "good" traction surface, the car hooks up and ....... hops, to the point where you "want to stop or else the rear axle will drop out." Sometimes it's a nice smooth "oh yeah, baby" pull from the light (20%), but the other 80% it's Hop-a-long-Cassidy. :confused: :confused: :confused:

Here is a easy solution to smoke the tire's on M6 equiped cars..
Sitting still in first gear, rev to 5500RPM, dump the clutch, let it bounce of the rev limiter quite a few times, then powershift 2nd into a wild powerslide!! :smash: :smash: :crazy:

i hate hitting the rev limiter, it makes me cringe when i hear any super performance car go wah wah wah as it hits the needle over and over. I have this fear that it will foget or something and I will have valves flying through my hood..... :rolleyes: :lol: :lol: :lol:
