Default Help with ZO6 Bars ASAP!

I just put the Z06 front bar on my 98 C5 with metal end links. The sway bar is hitting the lower control arm. The links are the same length as stock. It all fits right, and looks like the same way my other one was in, but it touching the bottom control arm, and I know thats gonna cause problems. How do I fix this?? Is the Z06 front end links longer than the rear? Longer than the plastic ones? Please help asap.

I installed Z06 sway bars and metal end links, front and rear on my '00 this spring, and did not have any problems with the installation. Are you sure that you've got the bar centered properly?

absolutely. my other bar, as well as my brothers vette both had over an inch of clearance (his is a Z51, mines a base), and now its up against the control arm. I'm thinking of making a bracket to raise up the mounting location unless theres something i'm missing.

I also upgraded base bars to Z06.
1) Is it actually hitting, or is it just really close? Mine was less than 1/4" on both sides.
2) Are you sure that it's not on upside down? That's easy to do.
If it is hitting and on correcly, it's not unheard of for it to be bent. I definitely wouldn't modify anything to make it fit.

I had the same problem, take the vette for a ride and it should even out on both sides when the sway bar settles.

Looks right side up; Mine is the same side up... if it's upside down, it's been that way for 6 months... just checked my service manual and it's drawn that way there, too.

I also just checked some pics I have of my install, and there is significantly more clearance with mine.... you may want to check that the bushings, etc. are all facing the right way and that the bar is centered...
