My a/c display has been very dim since I bought the car. I remember at first it was bright like the radio display and it just dimmed on its own. Does anyone know how to increase the visibility of the a/c display?

Go to post #24. This is what I used to fix mine. Works very well
Did the same with mine. (1 hour and 45minutes) If you follow the step by step instructions on that thread. If you replace with a new part, you are pushing over $300.00 if someone puts it in for you.
Just wanted to thank who ever for posting this. My display wasn't! After reading this post I decided to tackle it. When I opened the boards I found that my was arranged differently. Go figure. I found the surface mount resistors marked 241 arranged in two neat rows of 4 each. I figured what the heck. I began soldering; I was also using a magnifier. I didn't see anything wrong. When I got to one of the resistors as I heated up one side, and the original solder began to liquefy the resistor slid off its mounting position. I moved it back into place and continued. I have been a licensed and certified welder for 21 years before a career change. When something is soldered on two ends it is not supposed to move that much when only one side is loosened. That most likely was the cause. When I was done I sprayed the board with electrical cleaner and after drying I reassembled it. I really did not think I accomplished anything. After re-installing it, it works perfectly! Brighter than before it stopped working. This was one of the easiest repairs I have ever done to this car. The only one that was easier was pouring in a bottle of Techron once a month, but that’s a different story. Thanks guys!
Just finished doing mine tonight, along with a new hazzard switch, and a new bulb for the gear selector. Just dont do what I did , I get done soldering and bolting it up, take it to the car plug it in and try it before I button everything up "Service ride control" on the DIC, 1st thing that came to mind is oh crap, I was fooling around with the PCM the day before, now what did I do then DUH I didnt plug in the active handling and select ride connector. I was having a heart attack. by the way mine works like new again, thanks to everyone for all the help and directions that they give.
