timing chain broke on ls6
The timing chain cleanly broke on our 02Z during an HPDE. Will be upgrading to a Cloyes timing chain and GMPP HV oil pump. Don't yet know if any valves are bent. Once we put on the new timing chain, we'll do a compression test to see if any valves are bent. If so, we'll pull the heads and determine which valves are bent. Here's my question? Is it OK to replace only the valves that are bent? What options are recommended?

It's not alway inherently obvious which valves got bent... if you have bent valves, I'd do all the valves. You might even consider the entire valve assembly, and certainly the pushrods (tend to bend first).

I would assume all, pull the heads and have them gone over. Last thing you want is to save a few only to pull it apart again. Katech makes a stellar single chain, used on the C5R. You should also consider the timing chain damper installation while its apart, especially if you run on the track.
