While driving my Vette on warm days, the turn signals will stop working. I park the car and then come back to it and they work again until something reaches a certain temperature and then they turn off again. When I run the A/C, this problem ceases to exist. Or they fail and then after a while they work again. Is there a component in the turn signal circuit that will stop working when overheated?

I have heard of the sockets for the turn signals going bad and having to be replaced. Maybe when they get hot they start to put more amps which causes them to cause a brake in the circuit, just a thought.
A "turn signals intermittent problem" on the C5 is supposedly caused by faulty hazard warning module p/n 10359036. Mine started doing this about a month ago and I simply exercised the heck out of this rarely-ever-used hazard warning switch and so far no more problem. A set of normally closed switch contacts, when never opened, can become open due to slight corrosion. May as well give this a try.
Thats an unusual one. It doesn't sound like the usual switch problems to me as that tends not to be intermittent and predictable. If it was the hazard my guess is it would just quit. Having said that, it could easily be either the hazard switch or the turn signal switch on the stalk as suggested. When you get the problem, try selecting the hazard switch firmly to see if the situaton improves. You could spray some electronics cleaner into the stalk switch. thats been known to work. Also I can't see why the AC would affect it unless it literally is cooling down the hazard switch (sits next to the vents) and affecting the circuit.
What I would do is pull the A2 fuse to inhibit the DRLs. That will mean the T/S bulbs are not heating up all the time with the DRLs permanently on. The T/S bulbs will only operate for a short time when they act as T/S. If that improves things at least you know its heat (DRL) related.
The other thing you could try is pulling the T/S bulb holders and checking for corrosion. Best to go in through the lower access panel to get a good look. If they are corroded you could easily get those symptoms.
Had the same problem on my 2K Vert the other day for the first time. Turn sigials wouldn't work for the first 20 miles then started working for the rest of the trip and are still going strong.
If it does it again, I'll replace the hazard switch module.
I played with the hazzard switch today and have noticed that after the hazard switch is used my car is telling me that the Automatic traction control and Active Handeling systems needs servicing . ANd this notification stops after I turn off the car, then restart it SO this is telling me along with all of you guys that I need to replace the hazzard switch and I'll follow the link provided to replace it. Thanks for all your help guys, (and girls????).. I'll let you know how I make out.
