I have a 98 convert C5 with no special suspension package. I have noticed some take-off shops on line sell Z06 suspension parts. Basically, I can grab a set (Front/Rear) Stabilizer Bars from about $100.
Question is, will I notice any difference in handeling? Also, will my car need to be re-aligned?
I already upgraded the stabilizer links to the metal ones and the car feels great. Not sure if I should go through the trouble/money to upgrage the Stabilizer Bars?
I run Z06 springs, sway bars and Bilstein Sports on my 98 vert. I had the bars and Bilstiens before I added the springs. It was a major improvement over stock but when I added the springs the suspension became much more balanced without being harsh at all.

If you can get a pair of Z06 anti-roll bars for $100 or so, that is a good deal.
Yes, you will notice a big difference in handling. A difference you'll like.
No, you will not need re-alignment.
I put Z06 bars and shocks on my base coupe. Big improvement even without the springs. Noticeably less body roll and longer tire life at the track. Outside edges don't wear off nearly as fast from all the body roll. No alignment necessary.

I did the same thing to my 2000 coupe. Love the improvement in handling / cornering and the ride is still great.
Here is a list of swaybars available for the C5. yes, The C6 fit the C5. In 30 minutes, I installed a C6 Z51 bar (larger than the Z06 C5 bar and much less expensive - see Gene Culley) and I love it. Im running C6 Z06 shocks with 20s in the rear and 19s out front.
