It seems its time to take the coupe in for its first service call. My brakes are "sticky"....meaning that after I apply pressure and then release, there is still brake pressure and I literally have to move my foot behind the brake pedal and move it toward me. It is slight buy very noticeable. It's not enough to light the brake lights, but trust me, the brakes are being applied. Anyone else had this problem?
I had this problem on my Z06. It was very slight but very annoying. My dealer fixed it in one day and it's been great ever since. This is a common problem and your dealer should be very aware of it.
Had my sticky brakes fixed just two weeks ago. I lived with it for almost a year and finally got tired of lifting the brake pedal with my foot. Took the dealer about two hours to fix while I waited. All went well. Brakes work great now. I might add that they feel quite different with the new brake booster. I had to adjust my foot position for heel and toe shifting. I don't know if it's the pedal in a different place or the springier feel, but they 'do' feel different.
Hey, this is post #600! I'm starting to feel like an old timer around here..........
Me too. I drove the car a year, pulling up with my foot, minor but annoying.
My rear end started to leak (no jokes please), so I took it in to fix both problems. New booster, problem fixed. They know about it.
Had a good dealer experience (Dimmitt).
Here's the info on the TSB. I had it done after living with the annoyance for a year.
