I live by A and A corvette and might have them do my tune after I finish my cam, head, and intake install this weekend. My question is would it be better to have them do the tune, or are you better off buying the Predator and having them email a custom tune to you based upon your upgrades.
The reason I ask... trying to decide because with a Predator, I can have them email changes each time I add a new mod, but with a tuner, I will have to pay for dyno time each and every mod which I think will be a lot more expensive down the road unless they have a way to save your mods and reload them each time so the cost is lower.
My personal experience has been there is no replacement for a quality tune. When I take my car up, he spends more time road tuning than dyno tuning. He drives the car and then pulls over and doe real time updates, continues driving to ascertain the affect of the changes. Once the street tuning is done, the dyno tuning is done and unless there is a problem the dyno tune he can usually dial in very quickly. As for cost, the tuner I use (supporting on this forum) charges up front for a tune and then when I go back the cost is substantially lower. Most work this way so I would discuss with A&A their cost structure.
