I had 2 remotes die on me. New batteries but the fob would loose sync after about 10 minutes. Solution fleebay or elsewhere.
You need one with FCCID AB00216T. A remote from 97-00 ONLY will work on your 99. They aren't CHEAP. I got 3 on fleebay averaging $70 or $80. That was a year ago. Now theyre even MORE expensive. Gene at GMPARTSHOUSE has NEW ones and right now he has em on sale. Don't keep using the key or you will wear out the lock and switch and be worse off than the cost of a remote.
