Default Scan Ease Questions

I have an 01 and am using the paramaters from the Scan Ease for 00. They say it will work. How can I view the 19 cells that I am interested in for LTFT. I tuned last night using the LTFT's from the "Fuel Trim" parameter set.
I spoke w/Scan Ease "Tech Support." They say the "Generic Parameters" and "All Parameters" are GM specific. The other "Parameter Sets" are generic and are not as accurate. I see the LTFT B1, LTFT B2, LTFT B1 PER, LTFT B2 PER, FUEL TRIM CELL (BLM)- Block Learn Multiplier, and FUEL TRIM LEARN. Which of these are the correct parameters? . Are the LTFT B1 and B2 just averages of all 19 cells? Or which one should I use? I AM NOT A TECHNICIAN, SO PLEASE BE EASY WITH ANY ANSWERS!! Hey, and Team ZR-1, If you're out there, thanks for the answers on the chat last night. Eric

Although, as most, I know nothing about Scan Ease in particular but my guess would be that you want LTFT B1, LTFT B2 and FUEL TRIM CELL. The LTFT cells will tell you the contents of the cell, and the FUEL TRIM CELL parameter will tell you what fuel trim (1-22) it is referencing at THAT particular time which contains the data in LTFT B1 and LTFT B2.

Matt,
You are correct.

When you get the scan then export it to text and then excel and you can see each change of Fuel Trim Cell and the corresponding LTFT's.

By looking, averaging and TEAM-ZR1 help you can then adjust fuel pressure, MAFT's, etc., for what you want to do with the engine.

It is an iterative process and requires a reasonable amount of driving for the LTFT's to set properly after any changes! I see about 50-100 miles between changes for things to settle in place.

ocean, you need a little more fundemantal understanding of the process and what LTFTs STFTs are and do, the function of the fuel cells, which one does what etc.

please read my write up on the whole process at:
