Default knock sensor code?

p0327?

I got this last weekend.... I figured it was a intermittent fault so I cleared it. Over a week later it finally comes back.

Has anyone had the knock sensor imput code before? Does it need a knock sensor?

There are 2 knock sensors under the intake manifold. The DTC will tell you which sensor is bad. I replaced my front sensor in about 2 hours...you must remove the intake manifold to gain access to the sensors. No special tools needed. I believe the sensors are about $50 each. There are two types, make sure you order the correct type based on your model year.

The sensors get wet if you wash your engine with a water hose and deteriorate with rust. When you install the new knock sensor, it is recommended that you build a dam with RTV around the hole into which the sensor is fitted to reduce the likelihood of further water intrusion. It is best not to wash your engine with a water hose for many rea$on$.

You will be surprised at how much dirt there is under your intake manifold. Be careful when moving the manifold so that the dirt does not drop down into the cylinders.

Any update?

I just got this code come up about 19 times in a week. I just ordered a knock sensor and going to swap them out as soon as I can, probably next month though.
