Memory seat problems, sometimes they stick and/or reverse.
Thanks
Dave

First thing to check is, will the seat move fully in all the designed seat movement directions. I used the seat adjustment switch and moved the seat throughout its full range of motion in each axis. Found out that the seat was sticking in one area. Repeated cycling fixed that
Then I checked for BCM and SCM DTC's. Found some and cleared them.
Then I reprogrammed all of my fobs, paying particular attention to the number on the back of the FOB (ie #1 FOB or #2 FOB). Once the FOBs were learned, I set all of my personal driver settings like I wanted them. Mirrors, Radio stations, HVAC functions, seat positions etc......
Then I pressed and held the memory 1 button "paying particular attention to the number on the back of the FOB (ie #1 FOB or #2 FOB)." until the LED flashed. Have NOT had a problem since.
I also figured out that, if your 12 VDC battery is low or going bad, when you crank the engine (especially during cold cranking) the battery output will drop below some of the many module low voltage cut off thresholds and the FOBs will loose sync and some times the memory functions will default back to factory or some weird settings. I have seen batteries drop as low as 9 VDC and still have enough current to crank the engine.
Remember! Battery voltage is inversely proportional to battery current. If you add a large current drain to the battery (Like the STARTER) the battery voltage will drop low. If your having problems where you have to frequently RE-SYNC the FOBs, check the condition of the battery. Put a volt meter on the battery terminals and observe the meter readings when someone starts the engine. If it drops really low when the starter is first engaged, that could be part of your problem.

Try this:
Turn the seat memory ON in the DIC. Examine the DIC for any DTCs. If there are any,, CLEAR them! Set the seat all the way in the rewarward lower flat position. Then Hit save on the MEMORY POSITION. Make sure that you do the same for eack FOB and Memory bank. (Mem 1 & Mem 2 )
Then turn the memory OFF and see what happens.
Let me kno how you make out.

Thanks though, I'll definitely keep that in mind this winter when I pull the bar and swap the seats back for the offseason.
