Intermittent Directional Signal Problem
A buddy of mine's 2000 is suffering from an intermittent blinker problem. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. He did have the steering lock recall taken care of but is pretty sure he had the problem prior to the fix, Any thoughts??????

Very common problem. Many get it corrected by replacing a hazard switch. I know it corrected mine. Here is a thread on it. Good luck!

The other thing it could be is the actual turn switch on the headlight stalk. When he has the problem, have him recycle the hazard switch vigorously. If it clears the snag its probably the hazard switch.
In the meantime have him spray some electronics cleaner into the headlight switch. Its a few $ at Radio Shack. Its been known to clean up the contacts and fix the problem.
