need help with this one anyone?????

i have a 01 z06 60xxx miles, and has a cam longtubes and intake and the tune is right on it runs smooth and strong

i was having oil smoke when im wot, so i got a catch can and routed the valve cover line to intake to try to stop it it helped but still blows like crazy when im wot any help with this>

Sounds like the dreaded '01 ring issue. Were yours replaced earlier in the cars life?

no it hasnt dont think,

what does it coast to fix?

im planing 402 or just forge mine that would fix it?

what harm does the oil smoking do while wot?

I may be mistaken, but I thought the '01 ring issue was NOT a WOT issue, just the opposite, under light load at 4,000 rpm, the rings flutter allowing oil blow by...

In general I think you are right rws.1 but after time I believe it leads to significant blow by. Just my understanding though. A bleed down compression check may tell the answer.
