I want to upgrade the rotors on my 2001 vert. I remember seeing a "kit" that included new front rotors; oversize rear rotors and caliper relocating brackets, but I don't remember where I saw it or who made it.
Any suggestions? I have the stock wheels and would like ot keep them. Will C6 Z51 rotors and caliper brackets fit ? After market?
Mostly for bling. I think the stock rear rotors look lame given thier diameter compared with the wheel diameter. DO you know if the C6 Z51 rotors and rear brackets will fit stock C5 wheels? Or who in the aftermarket makes a kit? Thanks
There should be no problem with the rear C6Z51 rotors fitting. I don't know the details, but I do believe it's been done.
I would be a bit concerned about up-rating the rear brakes without doing the fronts as well. You *could* increase the rear braking to the point of causing rear wheel lockup. Yes, ABS will catch it and release the brakes, but that might also cause you to lose braking effectiveness on the fronts while the ABS is engaged.
