oil sending unit?

oil gauge pegs out at 80 psi after car is started
pretty sure its the sending unit
any advice?

change the sensor... you might also consider a relocate

hee's a link to the best DIY on replacing it in its current location...
remember to clean the connector terminals well and remove all oil...
torque the new sender to 15 ft-lbs...

Do one check, turn on ignition but don't start engine. If it pegs out, your sensor is bad.

I'd suggest going with the fix where you remove the windshield wipers. (shown in that link) That way you don't have to pull the intake every time...less chance of somethin falling down in the engine and, if your like the rest of us, you WILL have to replace it again.

And check the DIC, mine pegged at 130 digitally
