Noobs first post w/ pics and quick question
The car is a 2000 C5 with 90k miles on it.
I used the search and found out about the faulty oil pressure readings as mine reads 130 psi.
I had a check engine light the other day, then it went out for no apparent reason. Although I was kinda low on fuel and it wasn't the best gas either. Can someone point me to a link for retrieving the error codes using the dash computer. Thats how I've gathered you do it from what I read here. Please remember I'm a vw guy so these cars are, well....foriegn to me

I ran the IPC diagnostics and came up with 7 codes. I looked at the link posted above but did not see anything similar. I tried to download the codes but this computer is horribly old and won't read the file.
ANy help is appreciated. Here are the codes as seen on the display:
10-PCMP0440HC
A1RDCMB2265H
BORFAU1096H
BORFAU1064H
BORFAU1016H
BORFAC2105H
BORFAC2115h
Thanks for the help fella's

The only one yo need to worry about is P0440. I personally have not read up on the DTC but check you gas cap. A gas cap that is not sealing properly can through EVAP codes and it is the easiest to check and replace. Other components of the EVAP could be invloved ie canister, solenoids, lines, or sensors.
Clear the codes through the DIC refer to link:https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...D=26&TopicID=1
Drive it and see what comes back, Other variables could have caused the other codes that are stored in History and those codes are not going to cause the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT to come on.
PS...don't crash your dads car while he is away. That would suck Bueller!
PSS...why is that Carerra next to your vette? You should smoke that thing.

I was stopped at a red light and a Ford F-350 rearended a GM Blazer behind me and pushed her into me. I didn't hit the car in front of me because I always leave enough room for such an occasion. The Blazers tow hook punched a hole in the rear bumper and creased the plastic, as well as checking the paint along the side. No other body damage. The kid has insurance, and I work at a body shop for a living so the repair won't be a problem.
I have been so incredibly careful for 6 weeks, although I did stretch the Vettes legs a little
, and now this isht happens. I figured best to wait until he gets back to show him, rather than try to explain how minor it is and ruin his last 4 days of vacation. The corvette already needed some work, as there is a scrape on the rocker panel, the front bumper has a minor crack, and the rear bumper was already slightl bruised where I got hit today. I was planning on fixing the rocker while he was gone, but I figure with the insurance $ I will do the paint work off the clock so the extra funds can be applied to the rest of the body work. I'm hoping the insurance company will pay to blend the quarters and trunk lid. Any one have a similar experience?
I just can't believe this happened to me. This went so perfectly until now. AT least My pops is a cool guy and will understand I was not at fault.
I guess my last question is are there any well made aftermarket bumpers for these cars? Not poorly made fast and furious stuff, quality OEM+ stuff, I seem to recall a factory looking bumper that had a duck bill type spoiler integrated into it. Any ways, thanks for helping me through this journey guys, and I'll keep you posted with pics, etc. when the repairs get underway.

I have to say that after the last 5 weeks with this car, I truly want to own a Corvette now. Speed, style, agility, and chicks, lets not forget the chicks
See you all next summer when I refinance the house and buy my own C5. Thanks for all your help guys. I, and my dad appreciate it
