Default Opinion-- Headers, which ones are best??

What is your opinion, who really does make the best headers and why?
Buying some soon for a 2000 with only a Corsa cat back.

I like LGs Pro design, Do not have to worry about flange gaskets. They even sent them to be jet hot coated some brands make you send them.

Sounds like LG so far.
Can you buy direct from them or is it dealer only?

I like my LG Pros- it was pretty much a toss up between LG and American Racing Headers.

You can order them from lgmotorsports.com There is also a link to the left somewhere.

It does depend on your application too. Big cubic inch Kook's or American Racing 1 7/8".

Found the link to LG on the left, sent them an email.
Are these fairly easy to install (LG Pro)?
Will they bolt up to a Corsa cat back?
How about the cats?

They'll bolt up fine to the catback.

They are pretty easy to install. I installed mine myself with the help of my mom (lucky her for letting me use her garage). I only needed her help to hold the header while I moved the starter around enough to slide the passenger header in.

I used the direction from ls1howto.com but didn't remove the valve covers.

Pretty easy.

If you get them and need any help just drop me a pm, I'll come down and help. It looks like your only about 3.5hrs away.

LG's ruled for years---but I've seen professional install of the Amer. Racing and for the price they are the best thing going. I have Kooks and wish I had the Amer. Racing=fit and finish are superb

I've got Dynatech SuperMaxx headers and I love 'em - they gotta be one of the top three, if you figure the top three are LG, AR's and Dynatech's - EG had/has Dynatech's on Grond, and I figure if they are good enough for him, they are good enough for me

Do a search of EG's threads from this past week - EG had a write up about Dynatech headers he installed, and he had pics of the above 3 side by side for comparison

Here's the link to the EG "side by side" comparison: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1742259

I was hoping this would make things easier, as usual it just opens all the possibilities!!
What do the American Racing headers cost? Know the LG Pro is going for about 1500 now.
How about the Dynatech SuperMaxx?

I thought that the Dynatech Supermaxx added the most HP and in my opinion, why spend money on headers if your not adding HP. I'd like to see the HP gains of LG's or Amer. Racing. I've been looking into long tube headers for a little while now.

Another vote for the LG Pros. If money is not an issue and you with to get as must hp as possible lg is the way to go. You can find much cheaper headers but if you want every bit of hp lg is the way to go.
