Default Oil Pressure Switch All Changed.......

Well guys and girls this was the first repair ive done to my 97 vette. Wasnt to bad of a job thanks to some of the posts on the forum. Ive just got a couple of tips Id like to add. If you dont drain the radiator have a small bolt and vacuum plug around. When you remove the hose from throttle body that goes into the pipe in front of the manifold you need to put a bolt in the hose and plug the pipe if you dont you will lose all your coolant. Other than that the tech tip posted by vectorz was very easy to follow. All in all it took me about an hour and a half to complete the job. And after a hundred miles the pressure gage is still working. ..............

I fixed mine today during lunch. I've changed it twice now. On the way home sitting in traffic it was a steady 8 psi. Went up to 30 psi driving. Now I wish I had left it not working.

Maybe you have another defective switch?

I'm guessing it's the 236,000 miles and never been apart. Loose clearances. It runs strong and fine, when it blows I'll fix it.
