Default Wheel Speed Sensor

Where are the sensors located? I read that the sensors could be loose causing the read out I'm getting. I know it's a longshot but its worth a try. I'm trying to clear the codes and messages on the cluster. Service ABS,Active Handling and Traction Control. When these lights appear is car actually operating normal or is it not safe to drive it?

Wheel speed sensors are located at each wheel at the wheel bearings. All have electrical connectors. Take apart the connectors, check for corrosion, check for contact tightness, clean, & lube with silicone grease (spark plug wire grease).

pull the codes, prolly 1222,3,4,5

95% it's the front harness extension, from cradle to sensor/hub assy

I inspected one of my last year, the wiring had failed due to corrosion, Bill Curlee hooked me up with a new harness(thanks Bill)

jazzvette: FYI, the sensors themselves are part of the axle bearing assemblies and cannot be replaced as a separate item.

My service ABS light was an indicator that a bearing was shot.

Default wheel sensor

I found the problem on the DIC. I just kept hitting the reset and it finally went out on th cluster. Thanks for all the info. I certainly hope I don't get that service crap again.
