What could be leaking on my front leafspring?

97/8's used the old paper gaskets, not a good time cleaning the block of those

Where excecally is the weep hole,I have the same problem around my spring, but I can't find a leak, I can smell coolant sometimes when it's hot and had to add a small amount of coolant (about a half inch below the full line) this summer.

Leaks take the path of least resistance. The leak might be on one side, drip down and follow the path of the cross member or spring to the other side...

I might check for a blown head gasket. Check between the block and the head to see if it looks wet.

Verify it is anti-freeze. I had small puddle of redish liquid under the drivers side front, and on the spring, the last 2 years coming out of storage. Turns out it is was power steering fluid. Took it to the dealer last spring and they replaced power steering gear assembly.
