HELP! Accelator Whine

HELP! Accelator Whine
Have a 2002 automatic that periodically gets a high pitch whine as I touch the accelator. The faster I go, the higher the pitch of the whine. Any suggestions on what it can be? Performance seems ok, no warning lights.

I seem to have the same problem, however my car only does it in 3rd or 4th gear and when I am accelerating around 2250-3000 RPM and then it will stop.
I have narrowed it down to some type of "load" somewhere on the car. Seems like nothing is out of the norm so I'm not gonna mess with it.
Mine does not increase in sound as I accelerate as you mentioned. It stays pretty constant and then will diminsh at 3-3.5K if I am still on the gas.

I bought it as fourth owner (should of known better). Could be damaging, don't know level of damage till they take rear end apart. Gave them the go ahead since sound even drowned out the radio.
