Default Are drag radials a no-no?

on a stock C5? I have read some about breaking output shafts. I really don't want to do that. What other suggestions are there for better traction without damage? Thanks.

DR's on cars (stick shifts more than A4's) have been know to break output shafts. Get rid of the run flat tires and replace with non-run flats. You don't need DR's to get good traction on a stock, just better tires in general.

I have read some about breaking output shafts
IMO must have had issues already.ie.No torque management
What other suggestions are there for better traction without damage?
It all depends on what application you are buying them for. I would say if you are really concerned track drag racing would be a , but for groceries/home street play why not. IMHO chances of breaking something on the street because of traction no way when i can afford extra wheels and tires they will be drag radials. Had a set on my 350hp Z28 never could get traction. I always follow these guide lines.
1st.) Nothing is going to hook like an ET Drag or mickey DOTs,and off course chance of something breaking.
2nd.)drag radials are a safer option, and there are those that claim they had better traction with a certain radial over the drag radial.
3rd). You race them you break them , stock or not.

I get the point. I guess I'm trying to play "Russian Roulette" with only 1 live round, rather than 4,5,or 6.
