All I can say is that I had 2K O.E. Corvette polished thin spokes that cracked and pitted.

I don't know about ALL C5 thinspokes, but mine were stamped "Speedline Made in Italy Forged". My chrome exchange wheels were stamped the same way. Mine is a 2001 coupe, purchased new 9/23/2000.

It is my understanding that forged are about 300% stronger than cast and use less material (so they are lighter). They also tend to be more consistent.

I got ZO6 chrome repos from Bobs House of Wheels about two years ago. A few months ago one of the front wheels had a little peeling. Called Bob and he sent me a new wheel right away and I sent him the bad one back, all at his expense.
