I was at the gas station today. After fueling. I tried to start the car.. Nothing ... Plenty of juice but no cranking or anything.. Not a sound.. After a few moments . I finally got her to crank.. It woul crank and crank but never start.. Like it was out of fuel... After calling my wife to bring my tool box, I tried one more time and she started up like no ones business.. PCM- Code 1631H -C at the time it did not crank.. Now its just a 1631H.. Seems like an anti theft device code?? Any idea's?? Thanks

Basically the VTD did not read the key pellet correctly the first time and disabling the fuel system. The cause of this is normally a dirty key pellet. Clean the key pellet with some rubbing alcohol problem most likely to go away.
P1631 Theft Deterrent System Password Incorrect
Layman's terms the password was within a value, but not the one stored by the Body Control Module therefore disabling the fuel. If it keeps happening you may need to get new pellet and reprogram BCM to new pellet

The key may have been wet. Was it raining or was there some other moisture around that may have gotten on the key from your hand or clothing?

Thanks Jirasvet. I cleaned the pellet and everything has been ok... so far.. knock on wood.. I appreciate the reply.. As far as Bill's question.. I seriously doubt there was any moisture on the key itself.. Sunny and dry day.. So I don't think there could have been any moisture on the key pellet... Thanks again guys.. I'll keep my fingers crossed
