The clock on my stock headunit was 1 hour and 10 minutes slow this morning after being perfectly normal yesterday. Car sat for approximately 13 hours from yesterday until today. No one drives it but me. No other indications of anything strange. Any ideas?
Bad cell in the battery, or battery starting to die? Happend to the wifes STS a few weeks back, clock was off and when the radio was turned on, it was on 98.1 (not a local station or preset).
I'm in AZ so our time never changes...did your CA daylight savings time change? Any other indications that you battery may be discharging?
No daylight savings time change, clock doesn't automatically adjust for that anyway. No indications of discharge. Car started right up with no problems. Doesn't seem to have lost any time since I reset it about 12 hours ago.
That's what was strange on the caddy, it always started just fine. Oh yeah and the tripometer was always at zero when it would happen. Seemed to get more frequent.
I had an '84 Vette for a while and it would start just fine, but everynow and then it would be like there wasn't a battery hooked up at all, no lights, no sounds, nothing. Then a few minutes later it would show around 12volts on the gauges and would fire right up (well, as good as a crossfire ever actually ever fires up )

Yep,,,,I agree!!
Batttery could still be at fault. Take it out and have it tested. While its out,,clean the battery cables and when you reinstall the BATTERY, make sure that you torque the battery terminal bolts to 11 ft/lbs.
