With the instructions that I rec'd on this forum I ran the diagnostics and came up with a few "codes" and reset them. Granted that did not fix anything but it did shut off my check engine light. I am at least smart enough to realize that if the light reappears then I will have the car professionally checked and repaired.
I really believe that the check engine light came on in conjunction with my "active handling" seemingly "warming up" by itself! That is another little quirk that happens once in awhile after breaking loose a little on gravel or wet surface.
But again, thanks for sending the instructions to go through the diagnostics. This time I printed them and filed them.
