Where can I get one for a 99 Coupe on the cheap and even maybe *gasp* free and or PDF format?
Cheap ... look on certain auction sites .... or try on the forum here in the WTB section .......
Free ... not likely .... remember GM owns the copyright to this information. If someone posts it on the web for "free" they are in violation of the GM copyright.
Smell the coffee ... you want many thousands of pages of "information" for free ?????? ...... Notgonnahappen.com ..... Information has a "real" value today .... you should expect to pay for it ......
Kinda like when a client of the architect I M Pei tried to "negotiate" his fee on a project .... Mr Pei explained to them ....
My name is I M Pei (pronounced PAY) ..... not I M Free ....
I'd prefer it on CD just so I know what I'm looking for when I'm doing stuff on my car. How in depth is the manual does it have exploded views of all the cars systems.
It is very in depth. The paper version is 1400 pages. Get the DVD with all GM cars for a period of 9 years. I bought mine for $25 last year and it covers 97 through 05. I have a 97 paper manual and I know it is much easier to use the DVD version as it can be searched and has hotlinks that jump you from one section to another for various procedures while in the paper manual all you see is slightly shaded text (where the hotlink is in the DVD) and you have to figure out where it links to (not always obvious).
