Engine temp and A/C
I'm having a strange issue - when I turn on the AC, my engine temp is jumping about 30-40 degrees or so. Is this normal? It's happening in traffic and highway cruise, no real difference in creating the problem. I have a 160 thermo installed, computer was adjusted, and fans set to kick in at lower temp. I'm thinking a bubble in the system, but anyone else have ideas?

I am leaning more toward your fans not coming on when the a/c is on like they are supposed to but if its happening on the highway too the temps should not go up due to airflow, does it only happen when the a/c is on??

Bill, when I kick on the AC, it will rise over 1-2 mins and then remain there. At times, it will drop back down again after 5 or 10 mins, then rise back again. Gremlin, I know. However, if I shut the AC, it drops within a minute and stays down. The AC is the only common denominator. I'm going to burp the system tomorrow and eliminate that possibility.
