Default Power Increase?

I was wondering if anyone would like to guess about this one. I am running 413CI in my C5 Im going to go from this cam 228/232 600 598 114 to this Cam 251/257 600 600 114 Would anyone have a clue of how much more power I might get out of this cam versus the other?

25 hp, but that is really just a guess. Let us know how the project shakes out.

On stock cubes the bigger cam would provide at least 25rwhp more that the stocker (comparing my 228/232 to MS3/4 setups) but with your larger cubes I would guess even more. Assuming the rest of the motor is breathing properly, 40-60rwhp (additional) sounds pretty reasonable.....at least from what other members are posting. That should be around 475-500rwhp I would guess.

What are you putting down now?

468 thanks to the crappy Ls2 Intake. Im having that Intake and the 90mm Ls2 Tbody Ported along with swapping the Heads to some race heads we got from a friend. Oh and the small addition of a Basani X- Pipe as well

Bassani X won't give you much improvement.

If you are putting down 468 SAE CORRECTED with a 228/232, that's a very stout setup....I'd guess you'll break 500 easily going to the other cam.

Its ok really at first the car dynoed at 420 to the wheels which was a complete dissapointment but after driving the car for almost 4 thousand miles on the new motor and my tuner tweaked it here and there I went to the dyno again and it seems something was wrong which was costing me 48 rwhp. Im still not satisfied though hopefully this time ill be over the 500 rwhp mark ... I knew my car was not really running 420 I ran a few H/C vettes and one 383 stroker maro and I spanked the daylight out of all of them not to mention the bikes I ran so who knows what the car is really pushing
