:seeya: Well,Im sorry for the second post, but I was having trouble uploading the pics yesterday to the CF file manager. It's Done.
We installed the TPIS Long Tube headers on Saturday and I've got to tell you I am impressed! :yesnod: These Headers really do perform soooo much better than the stock exhaust manifolds, not to mention they ate sooooo much lighter.Look great too!
We pulled the cats back in March so the hookup for (Robert-Florida Performance) was alot easier.Robert installed an off road x-pipe and the fit was perrrrrfect, just right! The revs come up much quicker now and the SOTP IS there. I'm chirping 1st and 2nd. There's got to be an increase in torque because the car pulls much stronger than before.I NEVER got a chirp in 1st never mind 2nd. Really AWESOME!
I will get the car dynoed soon and post the #'s,but I KNOW there is a signifcant increase.
The Powerloader II helps bring out the best in the car and it seems it's a natural match with the TPIS LT's.Anyway thanks to Angel Diaz (Chevrolet Master Tech-18 years-nothin' but Vettes) for the install and Robert of Florida Performance for a great weld job. I would recommend both anytime.E-mail me anytime for their numbers in South Florida. Here are the pics.......
Re: TPIS Headers Full Install Pics....WOW!!! (vstella)
I have the headers, and no X pipe, but left the cats on.
1- is the sound better with or with out the cats.
2- is it legal to go with out the cats?
As for the sound, in my case it is much better than stock. But I was wondering if I should go with the Corsa Indy, in orde to improve that sound. Or just taking out the cats and instaling the X pipe will get that sound improved... :smash:
Re: TPIS Headers Full Install Pics....WOW!!! (don527)
Don.....Angel is im North Miami off Honey Hill Road and 47th st.and Robert is in Fort Lauderdale off Commercial and 12th ave.
Install was $425.00 complete with x -pipe.Good people.E-mail me and I will give you details.
Zaino....There are no emission tests in Florida any longer. Your choice.
The cats are just dead restrictive weight as far as I'm concerned.
Re: TPIS Headers Full Install Pics....WOW!!! (vstella)
I hate to break this to you but the state of Florida has violated the Clean Air Act and the EPA is going to force them to start testing again. I know this from several friends of mine that work at the EPA.
They said by 2003, the state will be back in the emmissions business. Envirotest - the company that use to run the program in Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Duval counties has already started getting their personnel ready for the move back into Florida.
Re: TPIS Headers Full Install Pics....WOW!!! (vstella)
Here in Houston we have yearly emission testing, when I put my LAPD TPIS headers on I made it so I can put the car up on ramps and pull the off-road pipes off and re-install the cats in less than an hour, plug and play.
